Achievements

Poultry Farm, the most effective project spearheaded by Mr. Phurpa Tenzin, is one of the greatest achievements of the SAP, ever since its inception as a program since 2010. At the initial stage the farm had 17 pullets and starting this year 9 more pullets were added along with a cock on the farm. The rate for the sale of eggs were fixed by the committee members at Nu.10/- per piece. Childre are given egg curry once in a month to supplement many of the non received nutrients in their food menu.

The National Butterfly (Ludlow's Bhutan Swallowtail) is only found in and around the vicinity of the school-Tobrang in particular. With this the school has proposed for an annual event of Butterfly Festival to be celebrated in the school to cherish the pride.

The 'Ku','Sung','Thug' , relics of the school are the priceless joys which the school and the community of Tarphel ever cherish. The Dungkhor is the first ever structure to be constructed in the beginning of 2007 with the support from the community and Mr. Jamba and Mr. Kezang of Shingphel. Then it was in 2009, the teachers decided to construct a chorten through their selfless contrbutions and no way our community people could also refrain from contributing. Mr. Khepola of Tongzhang has all the credits in shaping the chorten with the guidance from the Umze of Rigsum Lama. And the third structure, the "Ku's" phodrang was with the usher of Rigsum Lama, and in 2010 December, the teachers and the students craved on to complete the construction of it. With this the school in one time is an accomplished school in terms of holistc environment and this shall always remain our pride and plight for the well being of the Sentient Beings.

Marking the week days was one great idea the school had been practicing from last year,2011. Amongst the special marking days, the HPE day on Tuesday is different from the rest of the days. It is on this day that children wear school track suit and the assembly time and the 1st period are seriously meant for reading where the class teachers need to record the text in the reading log book kept in the office. The program as of now is being felt very reliable and important by the teachers as well as the parents and also the children themselves.

'Design for Change',this is what our school is now aiming at with the inspiration from the Early Learning Center School in Thimphu.We would like to thank Madam Deki Choden of ELC for accepting our school as one of their partners for Change. YAC,Young Ambassadors of Change is what we also call our children now and for this the school received a token prize(a laptop) from the ELC this May on the 3rd by the Principal in person.

13th October 2011, the school published its first volume of school magazine coinciding with the Royal Wedding, and the NFE centres of this community too joined the school in order to celebrate the joyous occasion with the funding sponsor by the following contractors of Bomdelling, Mr.Yeshi Dorji, Mr. Phurpa Dorji & Mr. Metsi Wangdi and also by the Gup Mr. Tshering Gyeltshen and Mang Ap Mr. Pem Namgay. The occasion was honoured by the Mang Ap.

It's been an addiction on our part to bagging the prizes during the cluster sports meet ever since 2006 and the credit goes to the hard working teachers and the enthusiastc children with the support from their parents.

The school bagged the first ever Environmental Sanitation School competition in 2009 amongst the schools in the Dzongkhag.                                                                                                                                                                                

It was quite amazing that the passed percentage for the year 2011 was above our targetted line and the enrollment rate of the school is also on the rise. The community are also very much aware of the importance of education wherby the drop  out rate too decreased comparing to the past years.The school stood 4th in the dzongkhag PMS for 2010 academic and 6th in the 2011 academic session.

Butterfly Festival-2nd June 2012.

The first ever National Butterfly (Ludlow's Bhutan Swallowtail) Festival was celebrated coinciding with the Social Forestry Day and it was also a tribute to the 4th King His Majesty King Jigme Singye Wangchuk.The festival was organised with the funding by the Bumdelling Wildlife Sanctuary, Tashiyangtse, under the guidance of Mr.Pangkay Dukpa,CFO and Mr. Sangay of BWS,bumdelling. It was honoured by the Gup of Bumdelling along with the officials from the gewog. The event was jointly celebrated by the school and the people of Tarphel chiwog with full of joy and enthusiasm.
